Rune stone - Järsberg

Järsbergs rune is one of the oldest, dating back to the 500s CE and are located in Kristinehamn.
The stone is one of the more enigmatic and inscription is difficult to interpret. Some argue that the carver through word Eril identifies himself as one of the Heruli, while other interpreters doubts this. It is possible that the stone top is suspended, which would mean that the word erilar might have a different wording. The stone is from the 500s which is before the Viking Age (800-1050). A gem with the same dating as stone has been found adjacent locality. beads of this type usually have a connection with the women's graves.
