Fine wetland area of moss (bog), forest edge, swamps and lag myrholmar unusual for southeastern Varmland. No marked paths.
If you are lucky you can experience the blackcocks courting here in May and all through summer this is a perfect place for peaceful walks.

Fine wetland area of moss (bog) quite unusual for southeastern Värmland. Several species that depend on larger undisturbed natural areas for their survival can be found here.

The area of 30 hectares, a former reserve domain from 1937, became a nature reserve in 2000 and also includes Stone Age settlements.

Many special plants and animals can be found here. You may not destroy, disturb och pick anything.

Description
Högmosse 30 hectares. The area is a former domain reserve from 1937, which became a natural reserve in 2000.
Directions
From Kristinehamn city center take Rv26 towards Mariestad, turn left towards Björneborg. In central Björneborg turn right straight south towards Jonsbol. After about 3 km turn right, then the next left along the eastern border of the reserve. No reservation signs are set.
