Get a taste of wilderness hiking and relax at the beach of lake Stora Vilången.
On the islands and peninsulas in the lake, you can find pines that are several centuries old. Pines in various stages of degradation are habitats of several rare species of animals and plants. The oldest and most natural forest is fount on the island of Rutön. Visitors may not disturb, destroy or pick anything.

The previous Domain Reserve in 1939 became a nature reserve in 2004 and covers 108 ha, of which about 35 countries have. You will also find Stone Age settlements here.
The old trail runs through a mosaic of marshes and dry land, managed forests and natural forest. The area has some prepared fireplaces.
